About Me

I am an educator shaped by a love of language, a passion for accessibility, and a deep curiosity about the many ways people communicate and learn. My teaching journey has taken me across the world; from teaching English in China while learning Mandarin, to working in Malaysia as an IELTS instructor, to supporting adult refugees and multilingual learners in the United States. My time at the Hawai‘i School for the Deaf and Blind was especially transformative, inspiring me to learn American Sign Language and deepen my commitment to inclusive, multimodal communication. I currently teach ELA and continue to integrate my diverse experiences; language learning, international teaching, special education, and even yoga, which I study and teach; into a holistic, student-centered approach. I am driven by the belief that education should empower, uplift, and honor each learner’s unique story, and I strive to create spaces where students feel confident, supported, and inspired to grow.
